Shanti’s Dispatches

So I just wrote this really long email in GMail about how to setup Sphinx, and then realized it’d probably be a good idea to save it to a Google Doc file.

Copy & pasting from GMail into GDocs kept my hilighting, bolding, etc! This may sound stupid but I’m not 100% sure if this is happening at the PC/browser level or via some kind of Google special sauce.

Anyway this is very cool and is the kind of thing Joel Spolsky was talking about over here. His overall assessment of the situation is still kinda off though.
