Open, Mount and Extract ISOs with PowerISO for Windows XP

Just came across PowerISO tonight while working with some fresh BitTorrent downloads.

It’s a lot handier than burning ISOs and loading their contents from CD, which is what I was doing before!

    As with the previous poster, Daemon Tools is great. Additionally, you can try WinISO, which I think is better than PowerISO.

    But, you really won’t need aything other than Daemon Tools.
    You can create up to 4 virtual drives, and it is a very minor hit on your system resources.
    Wonderful tool…

    Sweet, I’ll have to check those out.

    I was just happy to not have to burn the ISO first! I guess I had heard of ISO Mounting (on XP) but hadn’t used any of the software ever.

    BTW, MS also has a tool;
    Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel for Windows XP. It kinda sucks, but hey, it might do in a pinch…

    PowerISO is a complete ripoff. If you’ll notice, there are alot of torrents being seeded with the crap .daa extension.

    People aren’t buying it, the company itself is seeding to try and drum up business.

    This is about as lame as a business model you can get.

    I hope they lose their spamming asses collectively.

    Long live Open Source Standards, and to hell with proprietary bs like PowerISO!
